Party Wall Act 

The Act provides a building owner (the person or company carrying out the work) with certain rights and obligations to the adjoining owners (their neighbours) in relation to work proposed to any party walls, as well as for excavation and foundation work in the close proximity of any adjoining owner’s foundations.

The award is a document which covers works included in the Notice (the “notifiable” work) and which has been issued to adjoining owners e.g. foundation work and/or work to party walls. Please note that It does not cover the remainder of the general building works.
